Lambing is over!! A decent night’s sleep is definitely on the cards. We welcomed into the world on Saturday, our first set of triplets, born to Nancy. All doing well with the smallest being topped up with a bottle. We have a total of 19 lambs, 14 ewes and 5 ramb lambs. They are all coming on nicely, I will take photographs when the sun shines.
11th February 2015
Where does the time go? Our lambing got off to a good start with Trixie producing a beautiful ewe lamb on the 16th January. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t kind enough for the shed to be completed, so lambing in the garage began! To date, we have eight beautiful ewe lambs and one equally lovely ramb lamb. lambing should be complete around 5th March 2015.
Our shearling ewes and all the tups will be sheared this weekend. They will go back out to play with waterproof, fleece lined anoraks on!!
2nd January 2015
My blog begins as we approach the start of lambing for 2015. We have 8 white ewes and 5 coloured ewes, all waiting patiently for their due dates, hopefully, the first being a couple of weeks time and the last in March. Not good planning, I know, especially as we have recently moved house and planning permission for the sheep shed took some time coming! However, the weather has been pretty kind and the base is now down. Hopefully, to be followed by shed on Monday! Weather permitting. Otherwise, its lambing in the garage!!
